I'm not obsessive...

So around 9 PM tonight, I thought I’d fire up the camera and take a look at the footage from this weekend, maybe start plopping some of it down in Final Cut Pro, just to get the process started.

It’s now 1:20 AM and I’m making myself stop and go to bed as I have to meet my actresses at 9 AM tomorrow to scout a location. I got a whole minute and 30 seconds of a scene cut together in that time. It’s rough but it looks like a scene! It’s the scene with Jessie (Vanessa Mizzone) running into her ex-husband, Nick, (AJ Bowen), and it’s really lovely! I can’t wait to finish it but I must sleep. Yeah, like that’s gonna happen.

My sister sent me some nice photos from the set when she stopped by. She’s home now and I’m sorry I didn’t have time to visit with her when she was here.

From left to right: My real sister, Cindy, her "Cinderella" counterpart, Suzannah Fagan, myself, and my "Cinderella" counterpart, Vanessa Mizzone.

I could just about sit up all night and work on this but I have to remind myself that sleep is necessary! Glad my Michaels class cancelled because I just couldn’t do it.

I thought tonight would be spent sitting on the couch because the weekend wore me out. The days were not long but it’s hard being the one person with all the answers. It’s just tiring. I’m not complaining, trust me, I’m just not used to it. Usually, my ex would intrude with options and opinions – wanted and unwanted – so some of the decisions were taken out of my hands. It was a little odd being the only one everyone turned to. My crew, however, was great and didn’t need a whole lot of explanation about things. What a pleasure working with people who know what they’re doing.

But am tired and rambling and will try to sleep now. Looking forward to working on the cut more tomorrow. Maybe I can finish the rough of the scene by tomorrow night. Not too much pressure.
